Two days of cyclocross hits Tucson park

Cyclocross racers from across the Southwest came to the second SMA Smackdown on Kino cyclocross race this weekend.

wasn't very jump filled if that's what you mean. No mud either.

Not very many spectators beyond friends and family of the racers. Watching the races my first thought was I can do that and then I realised not for 40 plus minutes. It was brutal, flat out on a tough course for 40 minutes is hard work. Too bad there aren't any pictures of Damion riding his New Belgium Brewery single speed in the men's 3-4 race. He managed to not get lapped for quite a long time and he didn't finish last. The one thing I wondered about is do they reuse all that caution tape at the next race. Had to be 2 miles plus of it on that course.
