Bride, groom and 50 friends ride bikes to wedding reception

Ian Johnson and Emily Yetman’s wedding reception was a BYOB affair.
But it wasn’t beer the couple wanted their friends to bring to the reception, they supplied that.
The couple wanted their friends to bring their bikes for a procession from the couples’ home to the reception at the Tucson Museum of Contemporary Art on Sunday.
Despite the 105-degree heat their friends obliged. More than 50 people joined the couple for the short ride through downtown Tucson to MOCA.
The couple said the idea for the bicycle wedding procession didn’t come in an a-ha moment.
“It just seemed really obvious,” Johnson said. “The whole point of this was to combine all the things we do and we enjoy, put them all together into one big celebration. So biking here to a picnic, playing Ping Pong and eating good food sounded really good.”
