That is a great idea, Scott. I'll try to implement something like that.

Scott, I added a little blurb at the end of each post that refers to the forums. See what you think.

Someone described it as a forum graveyard.

Hear that sound? Yep, the comparison to El Con must to be the nail in coffin.

A lap around El Con's north parking lot is about 0.75 miles. The asphalt is very good and no road debris, as one would expect at a dead mall. No automobile traffic early mornings, especially on weekends Security doesn't care, they nod and wave. It's smallish, compact, perhaps boring, but Red Star has gotten it up to 35 mph and held. Mrs. Red Star does better but she's a track chick at heart. Good and safe place to pound it out, lap after lap. This will change for the worse when Wal Mart arrives. Other places we ride for workouts are Williams Center and Park Place.

On the last Tuesday night bike ride we went through that part of the parking lot and all the riders just took off at top speed. There is something freeing about flying through parking lots.

I am very appreciative of the site.  What I like the most is the link roundup because it gives me some good reading material for my lunch break.

I don't have anything of value to add, unfortunately.  I'm just a guy that hops on my bike and commutes.  If I have a problem beyond a flat, I'm lost.

Regardless, I didn't want to be just a lurker since if everyone just lurks and never joins up, the forum will remain dead.

Thanks for what you do!

Thanks for signing up and participating. You can also help by telling your friends who ride about the site too. How far is you commute?

If the requirement to participate was to have something of value to add, that would kill practically every forum on the internet.
